Super Hero

Notes |
Rudy demonstrated every bit of what it means to be a hero. He was loyal, he didn't outright lie to anyone, he never broke his alliance and the funny part is, he was aligned with the biggest villain in Borneo. |
Tina was a hero through and through, as was her closest ally, Colby. However, there was one thing that Colby did, which Tina didn't. Colby lied straight to Jerri and Amber and told them that they were going to the Final Three together. Tina never told an outright lie and stuck with her Final Three alliance until the end. |
Ethan was outspoken about playing the game with integrity and honor and he did just that. Ethan never went behind people's backs and told lies and backstabbed for no reason. He went with his alliance with Lex and Tom and they made it far. |
Paschal played a very honorable game, as he never lied or backstabbed anyone, other than John's alliance, who was lying to his face, so it can be seen as justified. |
Jake Billingsley |
Jake was the leader of his Tribe and played the game honorably, treating everybody with respect, even when the rest of his Tribe didn't. He refrained from backstabbing or lying and was voted out simply because the villain, Brian Heidik, had more numbers after the Merge. |
Matthew von Ertfelda |
Matthew wasn't the typical "hero" but he was loyal to a fault. He stayed loyal to Rob from the beginning of the game, no matter how devious Rob got and no matter how many people he backstabbed, Matthew stayed beside him and it got him into the Final Two. |
Rupert is one of the most loved figures in Survivor history. It doesn't matter what he does, he will always be viewed as a huge fan favorite. He never backstabbed anyone and played the game with honor and integrity. |
Rupert wins the Super Hero award for the second straight time. Rupert didn't lie or backstab his alliance, sticking true to his alliance with Jenna, Boston Rob and Amber until the very end, before being backstabbed by Jenna in the Final Four, instead of forcing a tie. |
Chris had the perfect "hero" story. He really is the ultimate underdog. After the Merge, the women took out Rory, Sarge and Chad, leaving Chris with six women. Being down 6-1 was pretty intimidating but he managed to scramble and get Leann blindsided with Twila, Scout and Eliza's help. Chris would then win three Immunities on his way to the end, winning the game. |
Tom was one of the most popular winners of all time. He was well liked by everyone in the game and he kept his word to everyone, even when they didn't keep their word with him. |
Danni wasn't the typical hero but she was an underdog and she never really backstabbed anyone, other than Rafe, since she promised to take him to the Final Two, but didn't. |
Terry was the ultimate underdog. When he made it to the Merge, La Mina was down 7-4. When Nick, Austin and Sally were voted out, he was down 7-1. He won Immunities to keep himself in the game until the Final Four. Then, after losing Immunity for the first time, the threat of his Hidden Immunity Idol stopped people from voting for him. In the Final Three, he was voted out by Danielle because he was too big of a Jury threat. |
The first time two people have one the "Super Hero" award at once. Ozzy and Yul were in the same alliance throughout the last part of the season. They made a fantastic team. Yul led the alliance with his superior strategy while Ozzy won almost all of the Immunities, so that his alliance could target whoever Yul saw fit. Together, they upheld the honor of the game and were both real heroes. |
Yau Man was the oldest, most wrinkly super hero one could imagine. His incredible, unexpected Immunity wins and his Gilligan's Island survival abilities really set him apart. |
James was referred to as "Superman" several times throughout the season, so "super hero" is a good award to win. James worked the most around camp, was dominant in Tribal Challenges, and was adamantly against anyone in the Final Five alliance backstabbing each other, even though he was quickly backstabbed by Todd. |
After the Merge, Amanda and Ozzy rejoined Parvati and James, as well as Cirie, as the "Couples Alliance". She was completely unaware when Parvati and Cirie joined Alexis and Natalie and formed the "Black Widows Brigade", blindsiding her boyfriend, Ozzy. Amanda was then forced to join them out of self-preservation. She helped vote out Jason and then James was evacuated. She even saved herself with a Hidden Immunity Idol, which eliminated Alexis. However, Amanda never lied to anyone or backstabbed anyone during this season. |
Bob is a Super Hero because he was the oldest man in the game that won the most individual challenges. He was also a saint that never betrayed any of his allies and stayed true to his word. |
J.T. was the good old country boy, just like Clark Kent. He was dominant in challenges, both Tribal and individual and was honest for the most part and had an integrity about him. There was a reason that he was the most loved person in the game. |
After Foa Foa decimated Brett's Galu alliance, Brett hung in their and won 3 straight Immunities to make it to the Final Three. Brett was one of the only Galu members not to directly backstab someone in the game. |
Colby was the last remaining member of a Tribe full of Heroes, so he is well deserving of this award. |
When the Tribes Merged, Fabio was aligned with Marty, Dan and Benry, way down in numbers to the alliance headed by Brenda, Sash and Chase. After Marty was taken out, Fabio survived with a combination of luck, as the alliance turned on their own, as well as skill. Fabio cleverly played that he wasn't thinking so that he wasn't considered a strategic threat and he won four Immunity Challenges to make it into the Final Three, when he was considered a Jury threat. Because of this, he won the game. |
Matt spent more time on Redemption Island than anybody and competed in every single Redemption Island Dual that was held during the season, losing only one, the one that would have gotten him back into the game and into the Final Five. This was definitely a heroic performance. |
During this season, Ozzy was blindsided after the Merge by a member of his own alliance and sent to Redemption Island. From there, Ozzy defeated every member of his original alliance and almost every member of the opposing alliance and sent them home, before returning to the game and making it to the Final Four before finally being voted out for good. |
Troyzan really wasn't that "heroic" per say but he was the underdog that was backed into a corner and had to fight to win his way to the end. He came up short, eventually, but put up a good showing. |
Malcolm was a massive force in the game. He had a Hidden Immunity Idol for almost the whole game and he was dominant in challenges. |
After the Merge, Eddie's alliance was down 7-5 and four out of the next five vote offs were Corinne, Michael, Malcolm and Reynold, all of Eddie's allies. However, Eddie managed to stand back while "Stealth R Us" turned on each other, with both Andrea and Brenda being blindsided, while Erik was evacuated, meaning that Eddie made it to the Final Four. |
Laura won 6 Redemption Island Duals and only lost at the very last Dual that would have put her back into the game. Definitely a heroic performance. |
Spencer was on the bottom fer pretty much the entire game but still managed to make it to the Final Three, thanks in part to 3 impressive Immunity wins. |
Keith was on the bottom from the beginning of the Merge, but still managed to make it into the Final Four, thanks to four impressive individual Immunity wins from the 53 year old. |
After Joe was voted out, Mike was the next target because he was a physical threat. However, Mike won 5 Immunities and had a timely play of a Hidden Immunity Idol, getting himself to the Final Three. |
Kelley was on the bottom from the beginning of the Merge but used two Hidden Immunity Idols and helped orchestrate the blindsides of Andrew, Kelly Wigglesworth, Stephen and Joe. |
Even though he frequently flip-flopped, Tai always wore his heart on his sleeve and tried his hardest to do the right thing at all times. |
Jay was the underdog from the beginning of the Merge and was always on the bottom and always thought of as a target but still managed to make it to the Final Six. |
Zeke didn't last as long as many would have liked but he was heroic for something that really didn't pertain to the game. Zeke was outed at Tribal Council by Jeff Varner as being transsexual. Zeke took this in stride and has worked to make it a positive thing instead of a negative thing. |
Ben wasn't always a saint in this game. He acted like a jerk for a time after turning on his alliance. However, he had a heroes performance in the last part of his game. Ben was the target at every Tribal Council from the Final Seven down but managed to keep himself in the game using Hidden Immunity Idols and eventually won the game. |
Michael was the ultimate underdog, always being on the underside of the numbers and often being a huge target because of his physical capabilities and strategic abilities. However, he always managed to get his way back to camp, and almost manipulated Kellyn into saving him from a seemingly insurmountable Tribal Council. |
Nick was supposed to be voted out at the very first Tribal Council, but because of a strange twist of fate, Pat being medically evacuated, Nick stayed alive and managed to make it to the Final Three, win the last 3 Immunity Challenges and eventually win the game. |
Rick was the fourth person votes out and sent to Edge of Extinction. After the Merge, he won his way back into the game, surprising everybody. After that, he was a marked man, as everybody knew he was a great strategic player and the ultimate underdog to win at the end. He definitely had a hero's fight but unfortunately was knocked out by a desperate and risky move by the eventual winner, Chris. |
Tommy played the game pretty heroically, or as heroically as you can play in the modern-day Survivor, as he didn't blindside his own alliance or flip flop. |
Natalie was the first person voted out of the game and sent to Edge of Extinction this season. This award is more literal this time around, as Natalie was nothing short of Supergirl-esque. On the Edge of Extinction, she gathered many times more Fire Tokens than anyone else. This allowed her to buy three advantages in the final Edge of Extinction challenge, as well as a Hidden Immunity Idol. The advantages helped her win her way back into the game, and she used her Idol to make it passed the first Tribal Council. She then found another Idol, which put her in the Final Four. She then won the final Immunity Challenge to get herself into the Final Three. She narrowly missed winning the game. Having played a neary perfect game after rejoining it, the only thing that would have made it perfect would be have given up Immunity in order to take out Tony herself, much like Chris did to Rick in the previous Edge of Extinction season. |
