Survivor: Edge of Extinction
Rick was originally placed on the Manu Tribe, where he formed a tight alliance with David Wright. They were directly apposed and yet, together, with Kelley Wentworth and Lauren O'Connell, with Wardog DaSilva in the middle. At the first few Tribal Councils, the group voted together, voting out Reem Daly, who was seen as bossy and Keith Sowell, who was the weak link. One of their allies, Chris Underwood, then tried to target Kelley, which Rick and David were on board with, until Wardog proposed that they vote out Chris instead. The two eventually sided with Wardog and Chris was voted out. There was then a Tribal Switch that saw Manu stick together, on the new Lesu Tribe, missing just Wendy.
With the numbers set, Rick and David went against Kelley and Lauren, with Wardog in the middle. Wardog eventually chose Kelley and Rick was voted out. A new twist was then revealed, allowing Rick to go to Edge of Extinction, where he would await a chance to get back into the game. At the first Edge of Extinction challenge, Rick narrowly beat Chris to get back into the game just as the Tribes had Merged.
Rick reconnected with David as Rick found a Hidden Immunity Idol with a special twist. Rick must give half of the Idol to somebody else and if both were there after the next Tribal Council, then the Idol would gain real power. Rick gave half of his to David. Initially, Rick and David wanted Kelley out, while Wardog, Lauren and Kelley wanted David out. However, the Kama alliance turned on one of their own, blindsiding the biggest threat, Joe Anglim.
After these events, the old Lesu members realized that they needed each other, but Rick was not willing to join with his old Tribemembers, leaving him and David on different sides for the first time. Rick joined with Julie Rosenberg, Ron Clark and Eric Hafemann, who wanted to split votes between Kelley and Lauren. However, the Lesu Alliance managed to get the rest of the Kama Alliance to blindside Eric. After that, Rick joined with his former Tribemates, knowing that they held the power for the time being. However, David's name kept coming up around camp, making them worried. while some of the Kama Alliance wanted Kelley out. However, the Lesu Alliance managed to get most of Kama on their side with this. Just to be sure, Rick played his Idol for David, but didn't need to, as Julia was blindsided.
After that, the Lesu Alliance imploded again, as David and Rick wanted Wardog out, while Wardog, Kelley and Lauren wanted David out, with the Kama Alliance choosing which way to go. The Kama Alliance sided with Wardog for the moment and David was voted out. Next, Kelley and Lauren targeted Aurora McCreary, who was seen as the biggest physical threat and some of the Kama Alliance members were with her, but Wardog convinced the majority of them, along with Rick, to blindside Kelley. Rick and Wardog stuck together and targeted Aurora this time, but Lauren joined with the Kama Alliance and helped them vote out Wardog.
Rick knew that he was the biggest target now and he went on to find a Hidden Immunity Idol. Rick wanted to target Aurora again, but the majority of the others wanted Rick out, with some, like Gavin Whitson and Lauren talking about voting Ron Clark. In the end, Rick played his Idol, saving himself and causing Ron to be voted out. Rick was still a target but won Immunity and was able to assist the Kama Alliance in voting out Aurora at last. Chris would then rejoin the game by winning the last Edge of Extinction challenge. Rick and Chris reconnected, as Chris gave Rick half of his Edge of Extinction Idol, like Rick did with David, and Rick revealed that he has a real Hidden Immunity Idol. At Tribal, Rick played his Idol and Lauren played her Idol on Chris, allowing Rick and Chris to decide who was voted out, and they chose on Victoria Baamonde.
Rick would later find another Idol and gave the half-Idol back to Chris, while causing Lauren and Julie to find his fake Hidden Immunity Idols. Rick would then win Immunity and made a deal with Gavin, saying that he would play his Idol on Gavin if Gavin promises to take Rick should Gavin win the final Immunity Challenge. Rick would play his Idol on Gavin and Chris played his Idol to save himself, allowing Rick and Chris to vote out Lauren. Chris would win the Final Immunity Challenge, meaning that Rick would have to beat Julie or Gavin in a Fire-Making Challenge. However, Chris gave his Immunity to Julie and took Rick on himself. Chris beat Rick in the Fire-Making Challenge, eliminating Rick from the game. Rick would vote for Gavin to win the game, but he lost to Chris in the end.
