During the first few days, Nick made several one-on-one alliances and named them, including one with Elizabeth Olson, called The Thoroughbreds and Christian Hubicki, called The Mason-Dixon Line. Christian and Nick were particularly close but Nick was the first target after losing Immunity, as he was seen as not doing a lot of work around camp. However, when Pat Cusack got injured and was forced to evacuate the game.
They lost the next Immunity as well, and the lines were clearly drawn. Carl Boudreaux, Bi Nguyen and Jessica Peet wanted Lyrsa Torres out, while Elizabeth and Lyrsa wanted Jessica out. Nick and Christian were the swings, as Christian controlled Gabby's vote because they were so close. In the end, Nick and Christian decided to vote out Jessica.
There was then a Tribal Switch, which saw Nick and Lyrsa go to Jabeni, being joined by Goliaths, Angelina Keeley, Natalie Cole and Mike White. Even though they were down in numbers, Nick was in a good position, as he and Mike formed an alliance called The Rockstars and they would control the vote. After losing Immunity, Nick and Mike had to choose who to vote out, with Angelina joining them in their alliance. They eventually decided to blindside Natalie, who nobody liked, as she was very bossy and confrontational.
They would lose Immunity again next and had to decide to either vote out Lyrsa, who is the weakest, or Angelina, who is conniving and would do anything to win. Eventually, they decided to stick with Angelina and voted out Lyrsa. The Tribes then Merged and the Davids had Nick, Christian, Davie Rickenbacker, Carl, Elizabeth and Gabby, while the Goliaths had Mike, Angelina, John Hennigan, Dan Rengering, Kara Kay, Alec Merlino and Alison Raybould. However, even though they were seemingly down in numbers again, Mike, Alec, Alison and Kara of the Goliaths wanted to work with Christian, Nick and Gabby, and the Davids really liked this. The plan was to vote out Elizabeth next, and then Angelina, which the Davids were okay with, resulting in a unanimous vote out of Elizabeth.
At the next vote, they thought it would be an easy vote to get Angelina out. However, things were beginning to look weird to them, as the Goliaths were talking a lot and the Davids thought that they might be getting played and that the Goliaths were coming after another David. At Tribal Council, Davie played his Hidden Immunity Idol for Christian and Dan played his Hidden Immunity Idol for Angelina. However, Nick had had the idea and it was a first time ever, splitting the minority vote and they blindsided John.
Back at camp, they were still getting told by the Goliaths that they want to work together and they were targeting Angelina. However, they were still suspicious because of all of the talking going on between the Goliaths. This caused the Davids to share their advantages, Nick's Steal-A-Vote, Christian's Hidden Immunity Idol, and Carl's Idol Nullifier, which they would use to formulate a plan. At Tribal Council, Nick played his Steal-A-Vote to steal Alison's vote, and then, when Dan played his Hidden Immunity Idol, Probst revealed that Carl had played his Idol Nullifier on Dan, which allowed them to blindside Dan and get him out.
Back at camp, Angelina flipped to the Davids side after receiving votes from her alliance, meaning that the Davids had power, and they wanted to target Alec, because he is a huge physical threat. When Christian won Immunity, Alec was a sitting duck and no matter how much he lobbied to get Carl out, they voted out Alec anyway.
Next, the target was Alison, who was also considered a physical and social threat. Nick thought that the Davids and Angelina were all on board to get Alison out, but Christian and Gabby switched things up when they went with Alison, Kara and Mike and blindsided Carl, one of Nick's closest allies. After that, Nick said that he couldn't trust Christian anymore because his closes ally blindsided him by eliminating his other close ally. After that, Nick wanted Christian gone, and so did Gabby apparently, as she began to lobby everyone to vote Christian out and get out the biggest threat to win the game. However, Mike and Angelina also had a plan to throw votes on Gabby in case he played an Idol. At Tribal, Christian would play his Hidden Immunity Idol and it was Gabby that went home.
Back at camp, Nick had a plan to bluff that he had two Hidden Immunity Idols, but was told by Mike that this made Davie want him out, so Nick considered blindsiding his closest ally, but Mike really wanted Christian out and didn't want to get Davie out yet. Nick didn't know what to do and didn't know if he'd be in trouble because of Davie's targeting. In the end, both Davie and Nick played Hidden Immunity Idols, even though Nick didn't receive any votes, as Christian was voted out.
Nick's next target was Alison and he and Davie were together on that after Nick won Immunity. Mike and Angelina agreed to take out Alison, but things didn't work out the way that Nick wanted, as Mike and Angelina had lied to him and joined with Kara and Alison to blindside Davie. Back at camp, Nick was furious at getting blindsided by his own alliance and thought that he was next., Angelina tried to calm Nick down but he wanted Mike out now. However, Nick would win Immunity again and Angelina found the Hidden Immunity Idol, and Nick didn't know what to do. Alison lobbied to get Mike out, as he's a huge social threat and Mike and Angelina of course wanted Alison out, with Nick and Kara in the middle. Together, Nick and Kara decided that Alison was the bigger threat and voted her out.
Nick would then win the Final Immunity Challenge and chose to take Angelina with him to the Final Three and then Mike beat Kara in the Fireamaking Challenge. Nick would then win in a 7-3-0 vote to Mike and Angelina.

Survivor: Winners at War
Nick was originally on the Dakal Tribe, where he formed a No Connections Alliance with Yul Kwon, Wendell Holland and Sophie Clarke. Originally, Sandra Diaz-Twine, Tony Apostol and Sarabh Lacina were in the middle, and the No Connections Alliance wanted to vote out Tyson Apostol. However, Tyson told them that he'd vote out either of his alliance, Amber Mariano or Kim Spradlin-Wolfe, so they decided to vote out Amber instead.
The next time they lost Immunity, the plan was to split the votes between Tyson and Kim and ultimately vote out Tyson. However, Tyson began to work over Sandra and Tony to try and get them to turn on Nick. However, Sandra and Tony stuck with Nick and Tyson was voted out.
There was then a Tribal Switch that saw Nick, Yul and Wendell on a Tribe with Parvati Shallow and Michele Fitzgerald. After losing Immunity, the plan for Nick, Yul and Wendell was to vote out Parvati, because she's a big threat. However, Parvati told Nick that Wendell had offered her a chance to give him Fire Tokens for him to vote out Nick or Yul. Nick was amazed at this and seriously considered voting off Wendell. However, he stuck with his alliance and voted out Parvati instead.
However, with everythinbg Wendell had done being brought into the light, Yul and Nick decided to go with Michele to vote out Wendell. Meanwhile, Wendell knew Yul was after him and wanted himself, Nick and Michele to go after Yul. Originally, Nick and Michele were fully with Yul but realized that Yul was a huge strategic threat and wondered about whether they should go with Wendell. Eventually, they went with Wendell and Yul was voted out.
The Tribes then Merged, and Nick was sticking with Wendell and Michele. The three thought they were in good with Jeremy Collins' alliance with a plan to vote out the untrustworthy Adam Klein. However, the main alliance had actually targeted Wendell, blindsiding him, Nick and Michele.
The next day, Nick was ready to blow everything up at camp after his two closest allies were voted out back-to-back. However, he managed to stay calm and go about everything like normal. He once again jumped on the band-wagon to vote out Adam, hoping everything would work out this time. He did receive a few votes, as the votes were split but Adam was ultimately voted out.
Battle lines were then drawn as the main alliance split into two factions and pulled the two on the bottom: Nick and Michele, into them. It stood as Nick, Ben Driebergen, Tony, Sarah and Sophie against Tyson, Jeremy, Kim, Michele and Denise Stapley. The plan was to vote out Jeremy, but since they were even, the risk of a rock draw was apparent. However, at Tribal, Jeremy used his Safety Without Power advantage to leave Tribal, not getting to vote but also avoiding getting voted out. Sarah then played her Steal A Vote advantage to steal Denise's vote and give them more numbers. Kim played her Hidden Immunity Idol on Denise, but it was Tyson who was voted out.
Jeremy was then the immediate target once again, with the majority alliance having plans to split the votes between Jeremy and Michele. However, Tony went to Nick and pulled him over to Jeremy and Michele's side with the idea of using the split vote to their advantage and blindsiding Sophie. Jeremy was a little reluctant, as he wanted Ben out but eventually everybody went through with it and Sophie was voted out.
Kim and Denise then again went after Jeremy, but Tony and Nick were sticking with Jeremy and Michele and had a plan to vote out Kimm who was a huge threat in the game. Tony got Sarah and Ben and Jeremy put their differences aside and they all banned together to vote Kim out.
However, after that, there was a war between Jeremy and Ben. Both parties wanted each other out, and Nick immediately jumped back over with Ben, leaving Tony to do his own thing. Eventually, Tony and Sarah joined him and Denise on Ben's side and Jeremy was voted out.
With the Final Five looming, the final lines were being drawn. With Ben, Tony and Sarah being a pretty solid unit, it appeared that Michele, Denise or Nick would be going home. Nick and Michele worked on getting Denise out, but the majority voted to vote Nick out, sending him to the Edge of Extinction.
Nick was the last person on the Edge before the Edge challenge, so he didn't spend much time there. Nick didn't win the final Edge Challenge and was eliminated from the game as a member of the Jury.
