Survivor: David vs. Goliath
Early on, Mike formed a bond with Jeremy Crawford, despite thinking that Jeremy is playing too hard. Also, Natalie Cole and her bossy, abrasive attitude was wearing on the Tribe, making her an easy first vote. However, by the time they lost Immunity, Jeremy's paranoia and hard game play made him target #1, and Mike was forced to vote out his closest ally.
Later on, the Tribes were switched and the Goliath's Mike, Natalie and Angelina Keeley ended up with the David's Nick Wilson and Lyrsa Torres on Jabeni. Mike formed an alliance with Nick, called The Rockstars, and together they orchestrated the blindside of Natalie, as nobody liked her. They then had a choice of who to vote out between Angelina, who was seen as conniving and would do anything to win, and Lyrsa, who was seen as weak. In the end, they stayed with Angelina and voted out Lyrsa.
The Tribes then Merged and Mike, Angelina, Dan Rengering, John Hennigan, Kara Kay, Alison Raybould and Alec Merlino of the Goliaths were with Nick, Christian Hubicki, Elizabeth Olson, Carl Boudreaux and Davie Rickenbacker of the Davids. Even though the Goliaths had the numbers, Mike, Kara, Alison and Alec wanted to work with Nick, Christian and Gabby, with the plan to vote out Elizabeth and then Angelina. They unanimously voted our Elizabeth but the Goliaths got cold feet, wanting to stick together and blindside Christian, who was seen as a huge threat. However, the Davids sensed something was off, so Davie played his Hidden Immunity Idol on Christian, which prompted Dan to play his Hidden Immunity Idol on Angelina. However, Nick had had the idea that this might happen, so they split the minority vote for the first time in Survivor history and blindsided John.
However, the Goliath's still felt in control with the numbers being 6-5 and once again planned to take out Christian, despite telling the Davids that they were going to take out Angelina this time. However, the Davids once again felt something was off, so Nick used his Steal-A-Vote to steal Alison's vote at Tribal Council, which gave them the numbers. Dan then played his second Hidden Immunity Idol but Probst revealed that Carl had played a brand new advantage, the Idol Nullifier, on Dan, which cancelled out his Idol and Dan was eliminated.
Angelina then switched to the Davids, having received votes from Alec and Kara at Tribal. Mike went along with her, not wanting to be left at the bottom. Mike joined the Davids in targeting Alec, who was seen as a big physical threat, which they did and then Mike was a pivotal member in the blindside of Carl, which caused a rift in the relationship between Nick and Christian, allowing Mike to swing in and form a Final Four alliance with Nick, Angelina and Davie. Gabby then revealed that she wanted to blindside her closest ally, Christian and Mike and Angelina had the idea to throw some votes on Gabby in case Christian played an Idol. Christian did play his Hidden Immunity Idol and it was Gabby who was voted out.
Later on, Nick faked like he had two Hidden Immunity Idols, which caused Davie to want to get him out, and he went to Mike, but Mike really wanted Christian out, while Nick wanted Alison out. To persuade him, Mike told him about Davie targeting him, making Nick question Davie and wanting him out. In the end, they compromised by splitting the votes between Davie and Christian in the event of an Idol play. Davie did play an Idol and Christian was voted out.
Nick again wanted Alison out and Mike and Angelina agreed. However, Mike wanted Davie out, to split up Nick and Davie, bringing in Kara and Alison to do it. Angelina eventually went with them to blindside Davie. After Tribal, Nick was very upset that he was blindsided by his closest allies but Angelina seemed to talk him down. However, Mike contemplated blindsiding Nick to get him out of the way. Nick would win Immunity, so Mike wouldn't be able to go with that plan. Mike and Angelina wanted Alison, but Angelina had an elaborate plan for Mike to lie to Alison and Kara so that they will all vote for Angelina and she would play her Hidden Immunity Idol correctly and she also made a fake Idol for Alison to use. However, Mike did not like the useless lying, so he told Kara Angelina's plan. In the end, Alison voted for Mike, but Kara and Nick sided with Mike and Alison was voted out. Nick would then win the Final Immunity and despite Mike and Kara's pitches, told them that he was bringing Angelina to the end, because he felt like his worst chance was if he sat next to both Kara and Mike in the Final Three. Mike was very nervous about the Firemaking Challenge, saying that he felt like a David, but he beat Kara in a dominant performance to make it into the Final Three. Mike would receive 3 votes, from Kara, Alison and Christian, but lost to Nick, who received the remaining 7 votes, while Angelina got 0.
